In their final game of the Walton County Thanksgiving Showcase, the Social Circle Redskins dispatched cross-county rival, the Loganville Christian Lions.

The ‘Skins staggered out of the gate, managing a mere 5 points in the first quarter. However, the Lions weren’t much better, garnering only 9 points.

The second quarter was the KJ Reid show, as the sophomore standout went to work, generating much-needed offense for the Redskins. Reid drained a 3 and followed it with two more buckets to pour in 7 points in the quarter. Social Circle took a 17-15 lead into the half.

Defense was the name of the game in the third quarter, as the Redskins held the Lions to only one made field goal and a total of 5 points. Social Circle built on its lead and held a 25-20 lead going into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter was all Social Circle, as discipline and patience ruled. The ‘Skins, led by freshman big man AJ Vinson, poured it on the Lions, outscoring them 17 to 9.

Final Score: SC – 42, LCA – 29

The Redskins scorers were Vinson and Reid (15 each), Tre Douglas (5), Chief Jennings (5), Tyrhell Branch (2).

Social Circle is back in action Saturday, November 30th at 2:00 at Taliaferro County High School.
