Redskins News · Social Circle Tennis Picked Up Two Region Wins In a Double Header Against Woody Gap

The boys’ and girls’ tennis teams performed outstandingly against Woody Gap in a double header on Thursday.

Woody Gap only had 2 boys on their team, but they each played a singles match and a doubles match against Social Circle. Ryan Zapatka and Colby Dalton both won their singles matches without letting their opponents score a single point. Grayson Jenkins and Noah King dominated their match as well.

The girls from Woody Gap brought a full roster with them, but the girls from Social Circle handled them with ease. The first of the two matches went to the Lady Redskins with a 4-1 score. Jesany Johnson and Melayna Williams brought home singles victories. A highlight of the match was an 8-0 win by the doubles team of Madalyn Spinks and Gracie Jones. The doubles team of Sarah Ray and Alexa Wykoff also picked up a dub.

The second match of the night was just as successful for our girls. The second singles of Caylie Ferguson and the third singles of Molly Callahan both scored points for the Redskins with solid victories over their opponents. The super sister team of Neely and Abbey Land picked up a win for the home team. Not to be outdone, the doubles team of Jamie Jones and Neely Flanagan skunked Woody Gap with an 8-0 victory.
